The goal of these workshops is to help you build your understanding of Brazilian Zouk movements. We'll focus on the 'why' behind the movements we execute, which will empower you to feel more confident and creative in your dance.

- Sunday, Sept 14: 4:30 PM – 6:15 PM (Class starts 4:45 PM)

Part 1: Warm-up
Part 2: Head movement theory + exercises
- Sept 7 - Balão (circular, up and down head motion)
- Sept 14 - Rotisserie (tight, continuous spiral motion)
- Sept 28 - Tilts (side-to-side head lean)
Part 3: Case studies and practical applications (lab-style)
The final portion of the workshop will be a 'lab-style' session—this is where the magic happens! I'll be asking for volunteers who want to work on a specific movement or concept they're currently working on (this can include the movement we just learned!). You'll get some focused, personalized coaching from me, and the best part is that everyone learns from the process. It's a great opportunity to get exactly the help you need.

If we haven't met yet, hi! I'm Danielle/Dani. I began dancing Brazilian Zouk here in Vancouver with Sandro in 2016 and have been an enthusiast ever since. I began my teaching journey in 2018 and have taught in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Seattle and Hawaii. I've trained all across North America, Brazil, and Europe from many teachers including Bruno + Raiza, William + Paloma, Gui Prada, and Val + Vanessa. Here's one of my latest demos:
