Get ready for another amazing night of music featuring some of Vancouvers best at 2nd Floor Gastown. Sunday August 17th we have none other then Ballads, Bossas, and Blues gracing our stage!

Ballads, Bossas, and Blues

Ballads, Bossas, and Blues are a Vancouver-based band formed in 2016 to play the compositions of bandleader Jake Huse. They combine contemporary jazz with influences from reggae, African and groove music and often explore polyrhythms, polymetre and odd-time signatures. They have released two EP’s on Bandcamp, with the latest, 2, in 2024. Featuring: Jake Huse tenor saxophone/composition, James Huumo keys, Dan Howard bass, Andrew Wilson drums, TBA trumpet.

The 2nd Floor Gastown offers Live Music on Thursdays - Sundays, open during Dinner Service from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Guests may seat for both sets depending on availability and manager discretion.

1st - 6:15pm - 7:45pm
2nd - 8:30pm - 9:45pm
