Tuitio Fidei: Discussion with Tonio Mallia

It is our privilege to host an artistic discussion with renowned Maltese artist Tonio Mallia, centered on his exhibition Tuitio Fidei, currently on display at MUŻA, Valletta.

Mallia’s work, known for its deeply philosophical and spiritual depth, explores the suffering of the Great Siege of 1565, linking each historic episode to a profound spiritual meaning. His monumental canvases also draw powerful parallels with today’s conflicts in the Middle East — the birthplace of the Sovereign Order of St John — reminding us of war’s timeless human cost.

During this session, Mallia will share his artistic inspiration and reflect on the connections between Malta’s past and the present global landscape.
