Step into the heart of Malta’s most defining historical moment with The Great Siege Concert — an extraordinary symphonic experience that brings the epic story of the Great Siege of 1565 to life!

The programme features "Il Grande Assedio di Malta", a symphonic poem for soloists, choir, and orchestra by acclaimed composer Pietro Cangiano. This powerful composition is the first of its kind to musically narrate the legendary defense of Malta, capturing the valor, sacrifice, and ultimate victory that shaped the island’s destiny.

At the heart of the performance lies the tale of Grand Master Jean de Valette and the Knights of St. John, whose courage during the siege helped safeguard the future of Europe and marked the birth of Valletta — a lasting symbol of resilience and triumph.
