Bugonia follows Michelle Fuller (Emma Stone), a powerful, emotionally distant CEO whose success has made her both admired and feared. But to Teddy (Jesse Plemons), a bee-keeping conspiracy theorist, she’s not just another corporate villain — she’s an alien threat to humanity.
Convinced he’s uncovered the truth, Teddy and his friend Don (Aidan Delbis) break into Michelle’s home, kidnap her, and keep her locked in a basement until she agrees to “save” the planet.
Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite), Bugonia dives into paranoia, delusion, and the blurry line between conviction and madness — all with the filmmaker’s trademark dark humor and unsettling edge.
