Vallejo Noir Returns! Eddie Muller and "Johnny O'Clock" (1947)

The Empress Theater presents the Czar of Noir himself, Eddie Muller, host of TCM’s weekly “Noir Alley” and author of "Dark City Dames" for a special one night return appearance! The evening begins with cocktails in the Empress Lounge and a book-signing featuring Muller’s latest, presented by the Alibi Bookshop. Eddie will then be joined onstage in conversation by musician-historian Nick Rossi at the Empress, discussing the dark world of Film Noir before introducing the feature film “Johnny O'Clock” starring Dick Powell and Evelyn Keyes.

Robert Rossen's 1947 film noir classic features a top notch performance from Powell opposite the great Keyes, one of the stars profiled in Muller's "Dark City Dames", now back in print via a new edition. Join us for an evening a great evening out on the town filled with cocktails, lively discussion, and classic film.
