Join us for Glass Mosaic Art Summer Edition! This week, we have fun creating 2D and 3D mosaic, inspired by historic mosaic art!
June 16-18th. 1:00pm-4:00pm (please arrive no earlier than 12:55)
Age 7-12
All materials provided. Please bring a water bottle and snack every day.

Fun at Twig and Berry Art studio awaits. From June 16th through June 18th, 7-12 years old campers will practice their patience, concentration and creativity while learning to make a mosaic for garden. Cutting, shaping, and arranging small mosaic pieces requires precision and skill, enhancing manual dexterity and spatial awareness. From drawing the design to arranging small pieces of glass in meaningful ways, the children will use their visual language to express themselves. Time permitting, we will work on a second project- a mixed media wall art piece. At the end of the week, they will be proud to share with you their practical art and talk about their experience. The project to be based on the age of participants-options are a mosaic on a stone, a stepping stone or a lantern.

ALL MATERIALS used to make the mosaics are kid-friendly and safe to handle.

About the instructor: Sandi Timbus is a mosaic artist with 13 years experience. She has been studying mosaic with American and European masters and has been also teaching small private classes to kids and adults. She is a member of Pittsburgh Art Association.
