Bothnia Metal Bash: Arctis, Vanity Insanity

Aurora Music Forum has picked one hardrock and metal band from each side of Kvarken. Together they will provide an energetic and headbanging evening at The Alley on Friday 19.9! The gig is organized in cooperation with Volume ry.

Vanity Insanity (SVE/FI)

Vanity Insanity is a hard rock band with members from both sides of the Kvarken. The band offers playful and saucy song creations that always contain wild vocal tones, lightning-fast guitar solos, massive drums and thunderous bass. The band won the band competition NestorNext 2024 and has played all over Sweden, Finland and also at festivals in England over the years. The group has recently released two singles "Hider" & "Voluntary enslavement of the mind" as a follow-up to their debut album "Piece of her cake", the new album "Insanity Fair" will be released as an LP in 2025.

Arctis (FI)

Arctis is a modern metal band from Finland blending heavy riffs, pop-driven melodies, and cinematic atmosphere into a powerful and emotionally charged sound. With a distinct Nordic aesthetic, they bridge the gap between the intensity of metal and the accessibility of modern pop. Signed to Napalm Records, Arctis released their self-titled debut album in 2024 and joined Apocalyptica on their European tour the same year. Known for polished production and high-energy live shows, the band is quickly making waves across the global metal scene. With a second album already in the works, Arctis continues to evolve—bold, melodic, and unmistakably Nordic.
