White Armband Day – Prijedor, Bosnia
Join us as we honor the victims of the Prijedor atrocities and raise awareness about the human rights violations that occurred on May 31, 1992. On this day, Bosniak and Croat civilians in Prijedor were ordered to mark their homes with white flags and wear white armbands—an act of discrimination and the beginning of horrific crimes, including mass killings and ethnic cleansing. We gather to remember the innocent lives lost and to stand against hatred, injustice, and genocide.
