Join us for pick your own peaches at Branstool Orchards in Utica, Ohio beginning on Tuesday, July 22. Pick your own hours are 9am-4pm Tuesday-Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Picking should be plentiful all week. Check back if coming after Friday as we sometimes have to close pick your own to allow more peaches to ripen.
CUT YOUR OWN FLOWERS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE. APPLES WILL START MID-AUGUST.
Pricing for 2025:
1. Half peck box $15 and admits two people.
2. Peck box $30 admits four people.
*Each additional person is $5 each over the age of 5.
This week we are picking Red Haven, a semifreestone yellow peach, and Raritan Rose, a freestone white flesh peach. You are allowed to pick both varieties into your box.
We are a walking only orchard so please be prepared to walk the length of a football field or longer. Wear close toed shoes, sunscreen, and a sun hat. Water bottles are encouraged.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO VISIT TUESDAYS THROUGH THURSDAYS TO AVOID LONG LINES AND CROWDS.
Before Picking
Confirm availability prior to visiting by checking the website branstoolorchards.com or calling ahead. There will be days when pick your own is closed so always check first.
Limit the size of picking parties. Only those with our picking containers may enter the orchards.
Arrive before 3:45pm. No entry after 4pm.
Check-in at the market or at the U-Pick Shed prior to entering the fields. DO NOT WALK INTO THE ORCHARD WITHOUT PURCHASING A BOX AND TALKING TO AN EMPLOYEE FIRST!
Pre-pay for PYO fruit. Only containers provided by the orchard will be permitted for picking. At least one half peck container for every 2 people in your group must be purchased. And at least a peck box must be purchased for every four people. Each additional person for either size box is $5 if the person is over age 5.
No personal bags—ex. backpacks, purses, diaper bags—are permitted in the fields.
While Picking
Do not eat fruit in the fields. You should wash all fruit at home prior to consuming it.
Bags and boxes can only be used once during your visit; do not empty them out and then refill while at the orchard. Don’t overfill the bags and boxes.
Do not throw any fruit on the ground. Any fruit you touch must go into your picking container. (Parents, watch your children!)
Only pick in the areas you are instructed to enter. Not all fruit is ripe at the same time.
Please exit the fields once you fill your containers. If you need more containers, please see our staff and we are happy to help you.
The Ground Rules
No outside food or drink at the orchards. Picnics are allowed on the play area or near the market BUT NOT IN THE ORCHARD.
No alcohol.
No smoking/vaping anywhere on property, including the parking lot and all grounds.
No bags (including purses, diaper bags, backpacks, etc.) or strollers are permitted in the orchards or fields.
No grilling, fireworks, incense, or open flames.
No trespassing. Our venue grounds, buildings, and roads are open to the public only during posted hours.
No recreational or illegal drugs.
No stealing. We will prosecute any and all thefts.
No weapons. The only exception is for law enforcement officers.
No vehicles over 20 ft on weekends—we don’t have turnaround space.
