Curran Apple Orchard Cider Squeeze
Crunchy apples and delicious cider await at the annual Curran Apple Orchard Cider Squeeze on Saturday, August 23, from 10am to 1:30pm.
Curran Orchard Tree Adopters will receive first priority in squeezing apples. The public is also welcome to sign up on a “standby list” for any available slots by contacting

Cider Squeeze Procedure
*No Outside Apples! This includes homegrown or from the grocery store to prevent the spread of disease….only apples picked from the Curran Orchard!
*DO NOT PICK FROM TREES THAT ARE TAPED OR MARKED with signs! These trees are adopted, saved for school tours or just aren’t ready to be picked yet! You CAN pick from any unmarked tree OR you can purchase a bag of apples for $5 (cash only). Recommended two bags per pressing.
*Bring your own bags and pick apples at least 30 minutes before your time slot. Please limit yourself to two grocery bags to ensure others can enjoy apples as well.
*Half-gallon jugs will be available for purchase ($1 each, cash only) OR you can bring containers. Expect to obtain approximately one gallon of juice per pressing time
*You can squeeze approximately two crates of washed apples per pressing time. (About two plastic grocery bags worth). If there are open slots, you will be allowed to go through the line again to press additional apples.
CONSIDER VOLUNTEERING FOR THE SQUEEZE….WE HAVE SEVERAL SHIFTS AVAILABLE!
Any volunteers will receive priority for pressing slots!
8:30-9:45am Set up stations, tables, signage and awnings
9:45-1:30pm Assist at various stations (Check in, washing area, apple/jug sales, press area,
Wheelbarrows, windfall pick up, etcs
1:30-3pm Take down

Community Harvest Day – Sunday, August 31 from 10am to 4pm.
If you miss the squeeze, don’t despair! You can harvest apples from ANY TREE THAT IS NOT TAPED OR MARKED WITH A SIGN! Please limit yourself to two bags to ensure everyone gets a chance to enjoy the orchard!
