The Sabbat of Imbolc is observed in the Southern Hemisphere on August 1st/2nd and in the Northern Hemisphere February 1st 2nd
Imbolc brings the awakening of the earth. Life in its many forms is beginning to stir. Spring appears to be right around the corner. Spiritually you are seeing the world with the eyes of the newly awakened. Your energy is enthusiastic once again and you are thirsty to learn and have adventures! Nurture those inner seeds of growth.
When you look towards the East – the direction of New Beginnings, you will see the sunrise which brings new light and a new perspective on your life. Imbolc is an opportunity to start again with a change of direction, a new state of being, a reconnection to self. You can have a clean slate to work with if you choose to.
Look deep into your heart and ask yourself what do you truly want in life and simply go for it! Don’t over think it – it’s time to think like the Goddess Brigid with a fresh outlook on life, embrace inspiration, be free!
It is with this energy we will walk the Labyrinth :)
Please keep in mind we meet on a public beach. We gather to share energy, and intention with an open heart. This is a great opportunity to practice staying in a high vibration bubble of awareness and leave the outside world behind.
Picnic Point Beach. Drive in at the Ulverstone Tennis Club end - Westshore Road. You will pass public toilets to park in front of the children's playground. Enter the beach from the path/walkway near the BBQ within the playground. We will be on the beach.
This is a FREE event. Suitable for 18+ Please arrive on time. We gather together to set our intention together before entering the Labyrinth. This is for collective energy as well as to support your own energetic focus. Labyrinths are a spiritual practice. Missing this phase means the walk is simply entertainment.
How do you recognise or acknowledge Sacred Space when attending a Spiritual gathering or ceremony?
A Labyrinth in its entirety is Sacred Space. Walking across the lines can disrupt the energy that is being harnessed in its construction. Walking through the middle of the circle disrupts its energy.
Listen to the instructions from the facilitator. They will usually have clear directions for before, during and after a ceremony.
If you are unsure how to take part respectfully ask to facilitator ahead of time. You will find they are very happy to set your mind at ease for you to be as comfortable as possible and to receive the most from your experience.
