Susanna Janssen: Once Upon a Continent

Local author and language instructor Susanna Janssen will be at Mendocino Book Co. on Thursday August 28 to present her new book, "Once Upon a Continent: A Memoir of South American Adventures Unplugged."

Susanna is a wordsmith, world explorer, and lifelong language enthusiast who believes that words and the “comfort zone” exit door are the passports to adventure. Early in her teaching career, she abandoned every trapping of that comfort zone and traveled throughout South America for four months, an experience that has shaped her life ever since.
