MEDIUM Art Center is hosting a grand opening with record release party!
MEDIUM Art Center will celebrate our grand opening at the new downtown location on Saturday, Oct. 4, with a record release party featuring live performances by three local bands: Weird Year, Quail on a Leash, and Clayton King.
The record release party is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Records and merch will be for sale. Light refreshments will be served, and beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The event highlights new releases from Sneaker Wave Records, a local label founded by recording engineer and record producer Rodney Grisanti. The event will showcase three new vinyl record releases. Grisanti says he started Sneaker Wave because “I wanted to hear more indie rock, punk, experimental, and hip hop. I did it because of my love of vinyl records.”
Weird Year is known for its energetic mix of indie rock and punk-inspired hooks. Quail on a Leash blends folk, blues, and garage rock into a raw, electric sound. Singer-songwriter Clayton King rounds out the bill with an indie rock, synth, and new wave blend.
The grand opening marks MEDIUM Art Center’s relocation from its former Pear Tree Center gallery space into a larger facility on School Street designed to host exhibitions, workshops, and live performances.
Founded in 2021, MEDIUM Art Center is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to supporting artists of all levels and mediums, hence the name. The art center operates without submission fees, offers optional sales commissions, and hosts regular exhibitions, community workshops, and live events.
