"LIVING TO DIE" is a striking visual exploration by Yusuf IJsseldijk, a passionate photographer who has spent over 35 years capturing Indonesia’s hidden cultural gems. Based in a remote plantation on the slopes of Mount Batukaru in Pupuan, Yusuf is known for documenting off-the-beaten-track traditions and destinations rarely seen by the outside world.

Through his lens, discover a culture where funerals are lavish multi-day ceremonies, ancestors are cherished, and the boundary between life and death is beautifully blurred.
