About Dellysape:

F. Deliana Winki is a young artist and traditional Dayak musician
who plays the Sape’, a traditional string instrument from Dayak tripe. A graduate of Trisakti Tourism Institute Jakarta, class of 2020, she has been actively involved for over nine years in grassroots movements and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) focused on community empowerment, cultural preservation, environmental issues, and climate change. Through the melodies of the Sape’, Deli conveys powerful messages about nature conservation, youth and indigenous rights, as well as
the importance of education and sustainability. Traditional music is her way of reviving local values while raising collective awareness.

Deli is also the founder of the Arus Kualan Indigenous School in
Simpang Hulu, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan. This informal
learning space teaches cultural knowledge and values to younger
generations, aiming to preserve ancestral heritage and foster a deep
sense of environmental responsibility.
