Events in Surabaya

Surabaya isn't usually the intuitive choice for a trip when you think to travel to Indonesia, that's because it is underrated. But it holds so much to offer like lovely Island of Java where two major World Heritage Sites of Borobodur and Prambanan are located. Another of its charms is the Mount Bromo and the Town of Malang which is a very cool town. In Old Surabaya is the “Cigarette Museum” housed in a Dutch styled colonial building which was formerly a cigarette factory. But today it houses a café, art gallery and gift shop. There is a Chinese mosque called Cheng Ho which is famous for its beautiful Chinese architecture. Some of the interesting festivals of the city are Kite festival, Surabaya Culture Parade, the Yosakai Dance Festival, Surabaya Culture Parade, The Surabaya Cross Culture Festival, and Indonesian Independence Day. These attractions make it a city worth visiting.
