Friday Sewing 101
January 2025- May 2025
This is a 20 -week course that will meet every Wednesday from Jan 3 – May 23 for the first 4 weeks of every month. No class on Jan 31st as that is the 5th week.
$100 Non- Refundable Registration Fee Due at Registration (this will be applied to your May Class Fee)
$100 One Time Kit Fee Due at Registration (this helps cover the fabric and supplies we use during the class throughout the semester)
$100 Class Fee – Due the 1st of Every Class Month. (Jan, Feb, Mar, April) No class fee due in May as your Registration fee covers this.
In this 20-week course we will have a great time learning various quilting methods, binding, sandwiching, applique, applique stitching, free motion quilting and sew much more as we make fun potholders for each month of the year. You will learn Oh Sew Much with new techniques being added to each project. We will also be making a variety of smaller projects to grow our sewing skills and knowledge in all things sewing and quilting. Some of the topics and projects we will cover in this class will be
-Potholders for Every Season
We will be making 12 different quilted and bound potholders through this class. You get 24 free FQ’s with this project (WOW WOW WOW) So that’s right you will learn multiple binding methods, every method I know so you can pick your favorite. You will also learn 12 different quilting designs you can do ON YOUR MACHINE. This skill builder class will really grow you as a quilter as a piecer, quilter, and binder. After this class you will be able to conquer just about any quilt pattern out there.
Once you learn each block you can make more of the blocks for a quilt, wall hanging, table runner, pillow, placemats and more.
-Zipper Pouch on the Diagonal
This fun twist on a zipper pouch shows you the sky is the limit when it comes to pouches. You will learn the flip and stitch method, color selection and placement, pull out lining and sew much more.
-Thread Catcher/ Pin Cushion
This adorable Thread Catcher/ Pin cushion is a must have accessory for your sewing needs. For home, class, and retreat, you won’t want to sew without it.
