Lovers Leap Adopt-a-Crags with Access Fund's Conservation Team

Join CRAGS – the Sacramento & Highway 50 Climbers’ Coalition - and the Access Fund Conservation Team for the 2025 trail work season at Lover’s Leap. With help from the Tahoe and Bay Area Climbers’ Coalitions (TCC and BACC), we have volunteer opportunities available and we need your help!

Dates: Every Saturday, June 28th - July 13th

Meeting Time & Location: 

Meet at the Strawberry Station General Store at 9am and then we'll all walk over to the Leap together.

Work wraps up around 3pm - feel free to bring your climbing gear to get some post-volunteer pitches!

Project: We will be continuing restoration work on the historic Pony Express Trail as well as completing erosion control and stabilization projects at the base of the crag.

For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:

Wear closed toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.

Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.

Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain karma points!

Work includes lifting and carrying up to 50-100 pounds, walking on unstable terrain, and being exposed to the elements (sun, rain, heat, cold, everything in between and beyond.)

Alternate jobs not requiring heavy lifting are available for other volunteers.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.

Please leave ALL dogs at home.

All volunteers must complete the CRAGS waiver and Access Fund waiver prior to volunteering.
