Join us for a special literary and historical afternoon as Rev. Sheryl Sadler-Twyon and co-author David James read selections from Spirit and Spa, a captivating portrait of Lake Pleasant's rich Spiritualist heritage and transformation from a tented summer camp in 1874 into a bustling, visionary village.

Written by the late Louise Shattuck and David James, Spirit and Spa tells the story of three generations of the Bickford-Shattuck family—mediums, healers, and pioneers in the early days of American Spiritualism. Rev. Sadler-Twyon brings her own deep roots to the reading, tracing her lineage to Frank and Myra Wilbur, influential figures in the community’s early days.

This event is free and open to the public as part of Greenfield Savings Bank’s Community Outreach Program. Whether you're a history lover, Spiritualist, or simply curious about one of Western Massachusetts' most unique villages, you won't want to miss this!
