Green Mountain Mambo- Thursday Evening Summer Music Series

Green Mountain Mambo presents their world Jazz fusion as part of the Thursday Evening Summer Music Series on June 26 at Peskeompskut Park, Avenue A and Seventh Street in Turners Falls. This free event sponsored by RiverCulture and funded through the Turners Falls Cultural District starts at 7pm. Bring a lawn chair and a picnic dinner.

Green Mountain Mambo is a musical gumbo with rhythms from Africa, the Caribbean and American Jazz, and harmonies distilled from jazz and funk (with a dash of French Impressionists). Think Afro-Latin musical traditions and New Orleans brass bands, all served piping hot! Featuring Dan Dewalt (composition/keys/trombone), John Clark (French horn), John Wheeler (trombone), Wes Brown (bass), Julian Gerstin (percussion), Gary Fieldman (drums).

In case of rain this event will be rescheduled. Other musical events in the Thursday Evening Series include Vimana/Wet Tuna (heavy psychedelic jazz and free-folk journey man Matt Valentine) on July 17, Root Fiyah (Reggae) on August 21 and Three Speed (Rock) on August 28.
