We’ll be diving into The Thing Around Your Neck by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a powerful collection of short stories exploring themes of migration, gender, identity, and postcolonialism through the lens of Nigerian and diasporic experiences.
Adichie’s writing is deeply feminist, centering women’s voices and challenging patriarchal structures, whether in the context of family, love, politics, or the immigrant experience. Her characters are complex, resilient, and unforgettable.
Whether you’ve read all the stories or just a few, come share your thoughts and reflections in a warm and open space.
