♥️ Sumac Day ♥️

Sumac Day is our annual celebration of one of our favorite native plants. Every summer we harvest the berries from these shrubs and add them to our beer - Wise Blood. It brings complexity, acidity, and a lemon-y flavor to the beer while also turning the beer a pinkish hue. It’s one of our favorite seasonals, and we think it’s a very special way to interact with the natural bounty of Oklahoma.
This year, we’ve recruited some of our closest friends to create even more sumac experiences for attendees. @coffeeat_heirloom will start your day with a sumac latte. At noon, we will be
releasing our sumac beer and @olddog.tulsa will be debuting their sumac laab. At 5pm, @danteswoodfire has your dinner covered with a sumac pizza. All sumac used has been foraged within 10 miles of the brewery.
As a special treat, our dear friend, Liz Blood, will be offering a poetry prompt based on sumac
and summer harvest that will get your ecological creativity flowing.
