Happy Hour & Hellos: Nordstrom Southcenter

Happy Hour and Hellos is a networking happy hour for young professionals in King County, but it's also more than that: it’s a gathering space for young adults who care deeply about their community. Attendees will mingle in community, enjoy delicious food, and learn about two important ways to give back: Our Neighbor Fund (United Way of King County’s fund to keep people housed, fed, and accessing education in our community) and Solid Ground a local nonprofit working to end poverty and support families with housing, food security, and essential services.

Solid Ground is honored to receive our donations and noted one important request:
Plus-size clothing (XL–2XL) is a high need. These sizes are often overlooked, and prioritizing them will help ensure that all clients feel included and cared for.

All donations should be new clothing items, and every piece will directly support families, many of whom arrive at their domestic violence shelter with very little.

Part of a quarterly event series, Happy Hour and Hellos is hosted by Emerging Leaders 365, a group of young professionals who have committed to giving $1 per day for a year to United Way of King County to make it a better place.

So come out, give back, snack on some delicious cilantro lime chicken tacos and Kung Pao brussel sprouts, and make new friends! We hope to see yout there.
