In the spirit of helping our community keep worn/damaged/not quite right clothing out of landfills & thumbing our noses at "fast fashion" & disposable mindset we have created a simple sewing series under the guidance of Amy Dunn of @redcollarpress faciliting alterations, button sewing, hemming & denim repair.
The series will be held at Communion On Convent Wednesday evenings this summer 6-9p
The third of the series is Tee Convert: bring your vintage tee or simple tops to a more holy level for your body. Learn how to pin, cut, machine or hand-stitch those garments for a perfect fit in this open house setting.
Tickets are $20 (though no one will be turned away for lack of funds)
If you have spare sewing notions you'd like to donate ot the kitty, we would love to that!
Our intention is to create an ongoing community gathering to work on mending projects.
