Join PCEI in celebrating Earth Day and connecting people to place through a meaningful volunteer opportunity!
Here's how you can participate:
Date: April 25th - 26th
Time: Choose a two-hour time slot from 9:30am - 4:30pm each day, or stay for multiple!
Location: City Park, Troy, ID (across the highway from the Troy, ID 76 gas station.)
The Impact:
Together, we'll be planting native trees and shrubs at an ecologically important local site: The West Fork of Little Bear Creek at City Park in Troy, ID.
Under the guidance of the PCEI AmeriCorps Restoration Team, you will help plant native trees and shrubs along the West Fork of Little Bear Creek to stabilize degraded stream banks, provide shade for aquatic species, and improve both on-site and downstream water quality. These plantings will enhance vital fish habitat, creating a lasting impact on the Palouse ecosystem.
Our ambitious goal is to plant approximately 3,000 native plants during this event (April 25-26). We rely on community support to achieve this impactful objective. Businesses, clubs, student groups, and other organizations are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and contribute to a greener Palouse!
For organizations, PCEI will capture group photos during your volunteer time slot, which will be proudly shared and tagged on our social media platforms, highlighting your commitment to environmental stewardship.
