COPING WITH LOSSES - second workshop in our series with Sue Nesbitt, PhD

Loss isn’t always about death.

It can be the loss of a job, the loss of a relationship, the loss of a dream, or even the loss of a sense of purpose. These quieter, less visible losses still carry weight — and often go unrecognized by the world around us.

Loss can shape our lives in powerful ways:
It can leave us feeling disoriented, stuck, or disconnected from ourselves and others. It can hinder our confidence, sap our motivation, and cloud our sense of direction. Sometimes, it even makes us question who we are.

But just as loss can reshape us, so can resilience.

🛠 Coping begins with recognition — naming the loss and giving it space.
🧩 Resilience is built through small, intentional steps — reconnecting with meaning, relationships, routines, and hope.
🌱 Healing doesn’t mean returning to who we were, but growing into who we’re becoming — carrying what we’ve lost, but not letting it define us.

Wherever you are in your journey, remember: You’re not alone. Loss may mark an ending, but resilience can mark a new beginning.
