From easygoing Pothos and resilient ZZ Plants to colorful Begonias and elegant Jade, houseplants come in all shapes and personalities—and they can thrive with the right care.

Join Karen from I'm Planty AF, a cozy indoor plant sanctuary in downtown Traverse City, for a fun and informative evening at The Botanic Garden. She’ll share expert tips, techniques, and favorite varieties to help you build confidence and grow a thriving indoor jungle.

Bring your questions, concerns, or photos of your own plants—we’ll have time for personalized discussion, troubleshooting, and plenty of plant talk!

This course includes two starter plants to start or add to your own houseplant collection.

About Your Instructor

Karen Roofe owns I'm Planty AF and My Secret Stash in downtown Traverse City, MI. Karen’s love of indoor plants and indoor gardening fueled her passion to start I’m Planty AF and share her life with everyone from green thumbs to folks challenged with keeping their plants alive. What started as a small passion project quickly turned in a full time endeavor. Specializing in hard to find and everyday plants, Karen is happiest pairing the right plant to the right person. I’m Planty AF is now housed in her sister store My Secret Stash, 122 Cass Street, Traverse City. The shop offers consultations, potting/terrarium parties, and classes throughout the year.
