Flower bouquet bar

Pop up bouquet bar, Wednesday from 1 to 6pm at Oak Park flowers.Flowers are priced per stem. The weather looks cool enough for the flowers to tolerate it for a bit in the shade.We will also have ready to go bouquets and arrangements in the flower fridge. I wanted to share a bit about how we are growing all these flowers.💐 first I want to clarify they are not grown in my backyard. I do have some carefully chosen perennials such as peony and some beautiful mature varieties of specialty cut flowers to cut from. I grow my flowers at the Great Lakes incubator farm and have a significant amount of space for a small scale flower grower to learn how to flower farm profitably and regeneratively. I have significant support from expert farmers, and I feel privileged to be able to farm alongside all of the vegetables that are being donated to our community.
We also have a wonderful relationship with a local farmer who allows us to use his 30 x 75 unheated greenhouse in exchange for repairs and maintenance. We have 2.5 locations. What started out as a side hustle with significant support from our farm community has become a legitimate flower farm with beautiful flowers to offer our community. We will also keep posted about farmers markets that we will be attending!!!
