On Flag Day, June 14, while some may focus on a costly and controversial military parade, Traverse Indivisible is inviting all members of the community to join a vibrant and inclusive protest and march at The Governmental Center, located at 400 Boardman Ave in Traverse City. From Noon to 3 PM, this family-friendly celebration will honor the true spirit of Flag Day by bringing people together, fostering community, and providing a platform for voices to be heard.
Part march, part protest, this celebration offers a positive and engaging alternative to the reported $92 million military parade planned elsewhere. Instead of allowing a display of power to be the center of gravity, we want to make action everywhere else the story of America that day. This event is about celebrating in the face of adversity and building community.
