Program for Thursday 22 May 2025
Traralgon Library and Service Centre
10am to 11am Markus Zusak: Three Wild Dogs and the Truth
When the Zusaks decided to bring three big pound dogs into their home, they weren’t expecting the chaos that would ensue. But, as all animal lovers know, nothing brings a family together quite like our beloved pets.
12noon to 1pm Gina Chick: We are the Stars
In her memoir, Gina traces her connection to nature, from her unconventional childhood through to her time in the wilderness, where she found solace and wisdom. As the granddaughter of writer Charmian Clift and daughter of memoirist Suzanne Chick, Gina’s literary lineage shines through in her own memoir.
2pm to 3pm David Nicholls: You are Here
His latest, You Are Here, mixes first encounters and second chances for its midlife protagonists. Marnie feels life is passing her by. Michael burrows into himself after his wife’s departure. Both find romantic redemption in the English countryside amid pithy observations and pop culture references.
