Stone Mountain Hike: Slow Down, Look Around

Everyone has their favorite parks and natural spaces. How often do you visit them and take the time to focus on slowing down and observe their natural features, history and what they are telling you? No power hiking or trail running here, this 5-mile trek is meant to take you on a natural cleanse and remind you how grateful we ought to be for our closest public lands. Participants should be properly attired, with water, snacks, sunscreen, etc. Trekking poles recommended. Suitable for families, this is a moderately strenuous trail, with 940' of elevation gains and drops. This is the Stone Mountain Loop going clockwise from the Upper Trailhead.
