A unique summer course to which we invite foreigners as well as Polish participants who would like to experience two in one – practising yin and English.
About yin yoga:
Yin yoga is said to be one of the most calming practices ever invented. It is designed in such a way that it is appropriate for most people no matter how fit or how old they are. In yin yoga we hold poses on average from 2 to 5 minutes, and the long-held stretches are aimed to let us get into our deep connective tissues and put some positive stress on ultimately enhancing or restoring our body flexibility and improving the range of motion in different body parts.
In yin yoga we mainly focus on deep fascia, ligaments, and joints rather than on muscles, which makes it a great complement to more powerful yang-like forms of exercises. Although the main aim of yin yoga on the physical dimension is improving or restoring our flexibility and the range of motion, it also helps us relax and unwind by ‘transferring’ us to the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system. It has the power to open our physical blockages, but if we surrender to it, it can clean our emotional and mental realm too.
In my own practice, and the practice I share I often combine yin exercises with mindfulness techniques, such as breathwork, body scan, meditation, elements of yoga nidra.
About the instructor:
I first got introduced to yin yoga in 2019. Since the first practice I have fallen in love and this ‘love affair’ is now stronger than ever. When I decided to do my first teaching course authorised by Inner Dimension Academy I just wanted to deepen my practical and theoretical knowledge. But one of the final assignments of the course involved leading the class, so I managed to gather some keen teachers from the high school where I work to share the yin practice with them. However, this one class evolved in quite a natural way into regular Friday after-school classes. That gave me the boost to do another teaching course, this time a stationary one authorised by YACEP Yoga Alliance the completion of which gave me the qualifications to teach yin yoga in Poland and abroad. As I work as an English teacher and my main resources are in English, I was encouraged to offer the course in English, thus making it appropriate for foreigners, but also for Polish people who would like to combine physical exercise with English classes.
Below I attach the opinions from the teachers who have been attending my yin classes at high school no 1 in Toruń:
Yoga with Ilona is always a beautiful time, which connects mindfulness with a therapeutic effect on the spine and other body parts. A sequence of poses corresponds to our present needs. The instructor creates a friendly, relaxed, but at the same time full of concentration atmosphere reinforced by carefully chosen music and aromatic oils. I highly recommend yoga with Ilona.

Yin yoga classes with Ilona are soothing exercises not only for the body but also for the mind. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for relaxation in slow-motion, accompanied by the calming voice of the instructor. If it’s your first time, don’t worry – Ilona will make sure you feel comfortable by showing different variations of the poses. Stress relief and body relaxation guaranteed.

Yin Yoga is like a deep breath for your body and mind. It slows you down, eases tension, and lets you truly unwind. Holding poses for minutes might feel challenging at first, but it teaches patience and surrender. If you're looking for calm, flexibility, or just a moment to yourself, this practice is a beautiful way to reconnect, especially with such a wonderful mentor as Ilona.
Thank you for the wonderful Yin Yoga classes! Grateful for the time, care, and wisdom you share. Asia
Yin yoga led by Ilona allowed me to calm down and relax. After the classes I was relaxed and full of good energy.
