COME ON HERVEY BAY LETS SAVE THIS MOTHER HUMPBACK!!

Calling all fishermen and anyone with a boat - please help search for this entangled whale currently in Platypus Bay. If you spot it, please stay at the correct distance - its easy to see the bright yellow rope without getting too close - stay 300m away because it is a mother and calf and so it does not become distressed and follow it if you can. Please call Freedom 3 on Channel 68 OR the duty phone of Queensland Parks and Wildlife 0429 127366 or, if you can't get through on that number, call us on 0448 773 668. We will help to communicate to the rescue team on your behalf and keep you posted. The other boats in the whale watch fleet will be looking as well.
