Our series invites readers and audience members to think about "fear" in our world(s), who gets to be afraid, what precisely we fear, and where that comes from. For this iteration, we are concerned with amour— the tensions and connective tissue between love and fear, ancestral / ghosts that love and guide us, the haunting of care (or lack thereof) and relationships past, love in the time of apocalypse and world(s) ending(s), desire and alienation, love and monstrosity and more.
Artists, poets, and friends Sanjida Salman, Hajer Mirwali, Faith Arkorful, Mina Wang Zhou, Twoey Gray, and Anda Zeng will be our guides for the evening, sharing work on the aforementioned themes.
Tickets to Who's Afraid? are always on a Donate / Pay What You Can basis. If there are any barriers (financial or otherwise) as well as any accessibility needs, please don't hesitate to reach out. We would love to see you.
