This workshop is facilitated by a woman of colour and certified trauma-informed writing guide.
Join us for a trauma-informed workshop designed to support a gentle exploration of the inner child. This immersive experience is ideal for those looking to tend to old wounds, cultivate self-compassion, and foster a deeper connection with their past selves. We’ll begin with a creative exercise, and then explore the concept of the inner child to help you recognize the ways in which they might be calling for your love. Through reflective journaling, we will open a dialogue with this often-neglected part of ourselves. Then we'll use guided visualization to gently reconnect with the inner child in a supportive environment. The session will culminate with a hammock sound bath, offering an opportunity for rest and integration.
A light meal is included.
If you are looking to apply the healing balm of attention and self-compassion to unresolved wounds, this workshop provides a safe and gentle space to explore healing at your own pace.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Please wear comfortable clothing and socks, and bring along a blanket, water bottle, journal and pen. A light meal will be served.
LATE ARRIVAL IS NOT PERMITTED.
Please read the FAQs below for more information.
Jungle Flower (she/her) is a Tkaronto based poet, speaker, trauma-informed writing guide and sound bath facilitator.
After escaping a psychologically abusive relationship, she founded Reclaim Your Voice in 2012, a BIPOC survivor-led organization that creates safe spaces where people who have experienced abuse and sexual violence can gently work through their trauma. In 2021, Reclaim Your Voice received the Mayor’s Community Safety Award from the so-called City of Toronto.
Jungle Flower found healing through her work in the survivor community. Today she works with schools across the country, hosting survivor-centred workshops and sharing her sacred gifts as a medicine offering for those who need it.
