SWE Toronto invites you to an insightful and open conversation on the intersection of parenthood and professional growth in engineering. This in-person event will explore the nuanced realities women face when navigating career progression alongside family planning and caregiving responsibilities.
From the moment we’re encouraged to dream big and pursue ambitious goals, societal expectations begin to shift, often placing disproportionate pressure on women to balance personal and professional aspirations. Parenthood introduces a new set of challenges: navigating maternity leave, managing perceptions in the workplace, and reconciling career ambitions with the desire to be present for a child’s formative years.
