Lulaworld 2025: Bruno Capinan Concert & Drag Cabaret - Pride Month Party

Pride Month kicks off in dazzling style at Lula Lounge with a night of music, glamour, and unapologetic self-expression, as Brazilian-Canadian artist Bruno Capinan returns to the stage to preview new music and celebrate the vinyl re-release of his entire discography. Co-presented with Uma Nota Culture—the creative force behind Mixto Festival—this special Lulaworld Festival event invites audiences into Capinan’s lush sonic world: a sensual, genre-bending blend of indie-pop, bossa nova, and tropicalia that’s as poetic as it is politically charged. Born in Bahia and based in Toronto, Capinan’s rich vocals and theatrical flair have earned global acclaim, with performances alongside legends like Gilberto Gil and features in The Guardian and Libération. For this intimate Lula night, expect raw emotion, rhythm, and a full embrace of queer joy.

But the celebration doesn’t stop there. Sharing the spotlight are two of Toronto’s fiercest drag performers—Devine Darlin and Georgina Hudson—bringing high camp, powerful presence, and show-stopping looks to the stage in a cabaret experience that promises to uplift and electrify.
