Link Music Lab Label Release Party

Link Music Lab releases four albums and an EP of standout recordings from the past two years with a party reuniting eleven local and international artists for performances ranging from swift solo sets to stirring collaborations.

Celebrate ideas and textures with Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi (electronics) Niloufar Shiri (kamancheh) Matti Pulkki (accordion) Scott Peterson (upright bass) and Caleb Klager (live PA). Selections from Persian Alchemy’s forthcoming album will be performed by Neda Mohamadpour (vocals) Isaiah Farahbakhsh (cello) and Mehdi Rostami (setar) with DJ sets by Neonlicheter and Mahan bookending the night and Hamid Malek on projection mapping.

Experience the best of the Experimental Link Series with unique arrangements resulting from new combinations and genre-bending collaborations with the Persian diaspora and beyond.

Experimental Link Series contemplates the Persian-Canadian experience by reinvigorating re-exploring and re-imagining Persian traditional music within contemporary and cosmopolitan Toronto by inviting different musicians from the diaspora to collaborate and perform together. The series will explore connections between identity culture and musical creation.
