JUMP FOR JAZZ – Toronto Concert Band & Mike Field Quintet

We are heating up the concert stage with uber cool jazz featuring guest Trumpeter Mike Field, an award-winning jazz musician revered for his dynamic performances with a worldly flavour and a fun sense of adventure. Some of Field’s original pieces, arranged for jazz quintet and concert band, traverse classic bebop, and Latin infused romps, and Klezmer inspired grooves.

In keeping with the jumpin’ jazz theme, the Toronto Concert Band presents Robert Sheldon’s hot and fiery “Danza Cubanas” and Chick Corea’s famed jazz standard “Spain”. Also featured - Philip Sparke’s symphonic rock creation “Blue Rock”, Randall Standridge’s spirited “Argentum”, and more.
