Come together at Fort York in celebration of Indigenous Peoples Month. Join this free, community-focused and family-friendly event with traditional and contemporary music, dance, artisan and culinary experiences of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples of Turtle Island.
Share in two days of vibrant culture expression rooted in Mino Bimaadiziwin (A Good Life), including storytelling, lacrosse demonstrations, dancing, tours, film screenings and Saturday’s traditional Pow Wow. Browse artisan and food market stalls, offering authentic handmade crafts, artwork and delicious cuisine. Stay into the evenings as the celebration continues with live musical performances.

Saturday, June 21
Come together with Na-Me-Res to celebrate community at the Traditional Pow Wow. Gather to reconnect with old friends, meet new friends, sing, dance and honour Indigenous cultures.
Grand Entry begins at noon with Grass Dancers followed by a Flag Song, Opening Prayers, Veteran’s Song, Drum Roll Call and Dance Exhibitions. Enjoy ongoing activities including craft vendors, information booths and food vendors. The evening heats up with a live concert of award-winning contemporary Indigenous musicians.
Rain or shine, expect a day filled with culture, connection and celebration.

Celebrate, learn about and support the rich traditions of Indigenous artisans at this outdoor market. From beautiful beadwork to stunning visual arts, hand crafted jewelry to traditional and modern garments, the market has so much to discover. Enjoy this opportunity to meet the talented artists hear their stories and learn their techniques firsthand
