Heat Wave: THELMA & LOUISE (1991) - Presented by Danita Steinberg!

The films are hot, but the Revue’s AC will be cranked for the films in this summer’s Heat Wave lineup.



Heat Wave at the Revue Cinema, a lineup of the greatest summer movies ever made, continues on August 20th with the cult classic THELMA & LOUISE – with an introduction by We Really Like Her! co-programmer, DANITA STEINBERG!



THE DESERT MAY BE HOT, BUT GEENA DAVIS AND SUSAN SARANDON ARE HOTTER!



Thelma & Louise follows two best friends — Thelma (Geena Davis), a sheltered housewife with a controlling husband, and Louise (Susan Sarandon), a waitress with a tough exterior — as they leave for a simple weekend getaway. But things spiral quickly when a night out leads to a violent encounter. Fearing no one will believe their side of the story, the two flee across the American Southwest with the cops hot on their trail.



Directed by Ridley Scott and written by Callie Khouri, Thelma & Louise is one of the most memorable road trip movies of all time, brimming with sun-soaked action and a rebellious spirit. It is a cathartic, feminist battle cry that remains as relevant as ever. (DANITA STEINBERG)
