Hey Freefallers!
We continue our open mic at the Pilot on Sunday, August 17th! This new location has a great stage and inviting vibe that we love, just like the Piston. Mark your calendars because we'll be at the Pilot every third Sunday of the month, and we can't wait to grow our community and create magic there together!
Doors open at 7 PM, and we recommend arriving early. Players often arrive early, even before the doors open, to get their favourite spot, since the list fills up quickly! We usually kick off the evening at 7:30 PM with a half-hour opening feature, and this month our feature is "Childlike." She's fantastic, and you won't want to miss her.
The open mic starts at 8 PM and runs until about 1 AM. A big shoutout to the Pilot for their amazing venue, equipped with top-notch drums and amps, house instruments, and a professional sound engineer, who makes everybody sound amazing. Plus, they have great food available too! Also thanks to Steam Whistle and Peter I. for their support.
Public parking is available at the Hudson's Bay Centre (2 Bloor Street East), across from the Toronto Reference Library. This underground parking garage is accessible from Asquith Avenue and costs $10 per night.
