For the Love of WOTS

It’s a party in the bookstore!

Join us at Queen Books for a night of live music, custom cocktails (and mocktails!), delicious treats, and scintillating conversation with fellow book-lovers all to support our beloved The Word on the Street.

Times are tough for arts funding so we are hoping that grassroots support can help keep WOTS going, completely free and open-to-all. Since 1990, The Word on the Street has been providing Toronto book lovers with all-ages programming, a chance to meet established and up-and-coming authors, and an opportunity to find a new favourite book. WOTS has always had a commitment to showcasing and celebrating Canadian and Indigenous independent publishers, magazines, and authors as well as the dedication to promoting a love of reading all of which has made the Canadian literary landscape more interesting and vibrant. And now we can help give back to a festival that has given us so much!

There will be a truly fantastic silent auction, a band, maybe--hopefully--even dancing?? Dress to impress and come ready to discuss your hottest literary take.

Tickets include one drink ticket, snacks, limited edition swag and 20% off purchases at Queen Books for the evening. For those unable to attend, please consider a tax-deductable donation to WOTS.
