JAZZIN THE JUNCTION: On Saturday evenings, JazzInToronto proudly presents a brand new series featuring some of the city's finest musicians. The setting is the intimate & charming La Rev Cocina & Cantina, where the authentic Mexican cuisine is irresistible.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Fernando Jara is a pianist, composer, programmer, and music producer focused on implementing new technologies in music education and improvisation for various genres and silent film. His line of research centers on integrating technologies into music teaching and leveraging digital tools for multidisciplinary creative development. He is the founder of "Rapsoda Muscinema," an ensemble dedicated to musicalizing silent and archival films. As a composer, he has written music for film, radio, and television, as well as songs and productions for rock, jazz, fusion, and progressive rock bands.He has studied music production, composition for audiovisual media, audio engineering, and software development. In parallel, he has conducted workshops with a gender perspective in the "Program for the Training of Workshop Leaders for Gender Equality and Non-Violence" at UNAM. He currently resides in Toronto, Canada, where he works as an educator focusing on technology and as a musical technology consultant.
