Basant Bahaar

Basant is the time of year associated with Spring. It is also a raag in Indian Classical music. Basant as a concept heralds a time for change, rejuvenation and welcoming something new, different and invigorating. It invites us to grow, to evolve, to push past the safe and mundane and make fresh starts, brave beginnings and breakthroughs both externally and internally. Bahaar denotes newness, beauty and a sense of hope and well-being.

Mehfil-e-Kalakaar dedicates this event to celebrating the ever changing and growing beauty, spirit and humanity within ourselves and each other so that we may aspire, inspire and perhaps discover ourselves all over again in a new light.
