🐦 A Night for Nature Lovers and Bird Enthusiasts
What are our local birds telling us about the health of our forests? How can we better protect the habitats of the incredible feathered friends that call the Saugeen Peninsula home?

Join us for an inspiring evening of discovery, science, and stunning visuals as we explore the lives of resident and migratory birds through research, storytelling, and photography.

This engaging event features:
🔭 Stéphane Menu – Migration Trends & Conservation
Station Scientist at the Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory, Stéphane brings 20 years of hands-on research experience from Cabot Head. He’ll take you into the world of bird migration—what’s changing, why it matters, and how long-term monitoring reveals vital clues about environmental health.

🌳 Anna Fletcher – Forest Birds as Forest Health Indicators
Resource Management Technician at BPNP, Anna shares how acoustic monitoring of forest birds is used to gauge the health of the region’s forests. With over 100 hours of birdsong recorded annually, discover what our forest birds are telling us—if we know how to listen.

📸 Arni Stinnissen – The Beauty of Birds Through the Lens
With a visual feast of over two dozen striking bird profiles, Arni captures the rich diversity of resident and migratory birds across the Saugeen Peninsula. His photography will not only wow you—it’ll deepen your appreciation for the need to preserve avian habitats.

Come for the Science, Stay for the Wonder ✨
