Station Scientist at the Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory, Stéphane brings 20 years of hands-on research experience from Cabot Head. He’ll take you into the world of bird migration—what’s changing, why it matters, and how long-term monitoring reveals vital clues about environmental health.
🌳 Anna Fletcher – Forest Birds as Forest Health Indicators
Resource Management Technician at BPNP, Anna shares how acoustic monitoring of forest birds is used to gauge the health of the region’s forests. With over 100 hours of birdsong recorded annually, discover what our forest birds are telling us—if we know how to listen.
📸 Arni Stinnissen – The Beauty of Birds Through the Lens
With a visual feast of over two dozen striking bird profiles, Arni captures the rich diversity of resident and migratory birds across the Saugeen Peninsula. His photography will not only wow you—it’ll deepen your appreciation for the need to preserve avian habitats.
