The Royal Geographical Society - Singapore presents: "Walking Free: Ending the Landmine Era, One Field at a Time" featuring Bill Morse, President of the Landmine Relief Fund.
In Cambodia, landmines and unexploded ordnance – a haunting legacy from decades of conflict – continue to wound and K*ll for generations. Not only do they pose a direct threat to society, but they also hinder the country's socio-economic development as vast areas of land remain vacant due to uncertainty regarding their safety.
Join us at the Hollandse Club Singapore on 30 October as Bill explains the history of landmines in Cambodia, their residual effects beyond death and injury, the nation's effort to rid itself of these explosives, and what we can do to help solve this problem.
Date: 30 October 2025 (Thursday)
Time: 7.30pm to 8.30pm SGT (Doors open at 7.00pm)
Venue: Hollandse Club Singapore (22 Camden Park, Singapore 299814)
Please allow extra travel time if you will be travelling to the Hollandse Club via taxi or private transport, as the area may become rather congested during the evening peak hour.
