Maria Tucker will be performing at The Napoleon Inn on Sunday 3rd August. Join her from 3:00pm.
Maria found her first guitar in a skip at the age of 17. She was taught a few chords by a busker and has never looked back.
She experienced homelessness as a teenager, this experience has shaped her life and political beliefs. Music opened up her world in a very positive way.
She pours her heart into songwriting, whether politics, nature, love, piskies or pirates and perform her own original songs.
Her childhood was full of music, I enjoy singing all genres.
Over the years, she has sung in many bands, playing gigs and UK festivals including Horsedrawn, Green, and Bearded Theory.
Since moving to Cornwall 3 years ago, the Cornish have been amazing. She has been raising funds for local causes in Tintagel. She's even been spotted campaigning on TV!
She's supported the RNLI, and animal charities. She campaigned to save venues, and local assets such as the Hamlet of Trevalga. Currently the main cause she supports is our local Foodbank in Tintagel. It's a cause thats very close to her heart for many reasons.
She also sings and play covers from Van Morrison, The Beatles, Ella Fitzgerrald, Etta James, lots of uplifting music.
She continues to organise music events and am stepping out with her solo career in music.
She is very grateful to the Napoleon Inn Boscastle for offering the opportunity to run a monthly singers/musicians night from April plus play her own gigs at the venue.
So, come on down, grab a drink and bring your singing voices.
