Birding BIG Day Intro

What is a Birding Big Day? What can you do to contribute to bird conservation efforts in Northwestern Ontario?

Join us on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, at the LRCA Administrative Office for a chance to meet our region’s eBird Moderator, James Barber. Bring all your burning eBird questions and learn more about the birding tools that will help you make a spectacular bird list. Weather permitting, we will then head out to explore some nearby hotspots to find some Fall crepuscular birds. Register now to reserve your spot!

This intro course intends to get birders prepared and ready with the appropriate tools to participate in October’s Global Big Day, occuring on Saturday, October 11, 2025! October Big Day is an opportunity to unite around our shared love of birds. Last October, nearly three-quarters of a million people joined in this worldwide celebration.
